This is a mix between salsa and bruschetta, it's always a hit at parties and picnics. I made this up for my family, 1/2 of them love Italian food and the other 1/2 loves Mexican food. This salsa seems to satisfy all of them.

These green beans and potatoes are a spectacular dish. I have been making them for years in large quantities for special events at my church. The smoked turkey tails make an excellent broth that is seasoned beyond words. Let the meat cook until it falls off the bone for the ultimate flavor, at least 2 hours.

This lovely filling is then cooled slightly, poured into a baked pie shell and smothered with meringue. After a moment in the oven, this luscious pie is ready to be topped with whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg.
